Thanks to almost 12 hours of sun a day and temperatures ranging between 82 and 86 F (28 and 30 C) during the day, the weather in Miami will give you that warm, tropical feeling. With that in mind, summer in Miami can be wet. With an average of over 40mm of rain starting in June and going through September, a vacation in July means you should expect some showers. 

The average number of rainy days in Miami in July is 22. While each rain might not be too heavy, you’ll want to make sure you can pack something light in case you get caught in a drizzle while you’re out exploring. After all, the combination of warm days and rainfall do lead to humidity, so you really only need something waterproof that you can pack in your backpack or bag.

   Just after 9pm on 4th of July, the skies light up over NYC’s East River. This coordinated fireworks display consists of more than 60,000 shells launched from barges floating in the river. This celebration includes music and a display of red, clear, and blue water shot 300 feet into the air by the New York Fire Department.

Not really, no. Though there have been years in the past that the Macy’s 4th of July fireworks have been launched from the Hudson River (the river between New Jersey and Manhattan), they are now primarily launched from the East River.

Times Square/ Theatre District

The area around Times Square is perfect for families, because the colorful lights of the numerous billboards will brighten up children’s eyes. You can reach a lot of attractions in walking distance from here and the connection to the Subway is also excellent. Times Square is considered the pulsating center of New York City and among the many musicals and theaters there’s surely something for every age group. In the large Disney Store your children will definitely find a great souvenir to remember this vacation.

Greenwich Village

Greenwich Village is known for its many brick houses and the smaller streets without skyscrapers. This makes it a bit quieter than other neighborhoods in New York City. For a little break in between, you can visit Washington Square Park, which also has a playground for children. The gallery is open to the public from Tuesday to Saturday, 11am to 6pm. Admission is free and masks are required. If you are from New York, or are visiting, you don’t want to miss out on visiting the bitforms gallery.

“Storms” is a suite of new video works by the artist Quayola. He was born in Rome / Italy and lives and works from London, now. It is his third solo exhibition at bitforms gallery.

Where is the bitforms gallery located?

bitforms gallery is located in the Lower East Side of New York, just one block from Bowery. The address is 131 Allen Street (between Rivington and Delancey Streets).

What can you do after visiting the bitforms gallery?

If you want to visit more art galleries, I recommend the Krause Gallery, the Front Room Gallery or James Fuentes LLC. If photography interests you, you should visit the International Center of Photography Museum. I also love the Tenement Museum, which shows you what life was like for immigrants in NYC around 1860. All spots are less than a 10 minute walk away.

The High Noon Gallery is an art gallery in New York City that was founded in 2017 by Jared Linge. Jared worked in the art space for over 8 years and realized that the talented, and often unrepresented artists, were not getting the exposure they needed to thrive.

The High Noon Gallery works with other non profits, galleries, and museums to help get their artists the visibility they deserve. They work with new talent, as well as mid-career talent.
